My entire life, I’ve loved photography. Growing up, my father was an avid photographer, and I have always admired his photographs. A few years out of college, I took up photography as a hobby. With a few community college courses under my belt to learn the basics, I was hooked. I dreamed of a life as a professional photographer, but was far too conventional to really pursue it.
Over the years, my hobby turned into a full-blown passion. I couldn’t learn enough. I couldn’t be inspired more. I have never wanted something so much. And yet, there I was plugging away at my (really good and stable) corporate job. My husband insisted that I should go ahead and take that leap.
So, here I am. Doing what I love and loving what I do. I specialize in weddings because they are full of irreplaceable moments. These moments are so incredibly unique and special that they are perfectly preserved in our minds. I love weddings. I love relationships. I’m one of the lucky ones who’s found a “job” that lets me spend so much time around the things I love. I’m honored to have been featured in some of the foremost wedding publications, including Style Me Pretty and Wedding Magazine.
My wedding style is a bit like “scripted reality TV.” Everything I capture is a genuine emotion, but I put a lot of thought into figuring out how to get you and your families and your friends into circumstances or surroundings that will be most flattering for your photographs. I’m a sucker for details and love when a bride (or a groom!) goes all out with the small stuff on their wedding day.
I’ve answered several common questions here but if there’s still something you’ve got to know, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
