Natalie + Wyatt : Engaged!

While shooting this session, I was sharing with Natalie and Wyatt how lucky I’ve been to work with some awesome couples. Thanks guys, for keeping the trend going! Natalie is totally my kind of bride. Sure, she’s planning a wedding, but in the middle of it all, she’s changing careers and moving across country. If it’s stressing her out, she doesn’t show it AT ALL.

As we wandered around the 2nd Street district of downtown Austin, they were totally up for anything. Natalie claims she’s no good at the whole “act natural” thing, but I think these pictures prove otherwise. I love how much their love shines through! Can’t wait for the wedding.

Earlier this month, I had the honor of being present for my niece’s birth. Baby Girl hung in there, so it took several changed flights and literally weeks away from my husband to make sure we could be there, but we pulled it off. My brother and sister-in-law wanted the sex of the baby to be a surprise and did she ever surprise just about everyone (I had an inkling!) The whole birth experience will never cease to amaze me, and these moments are without a doubt among my all-time favorite to capture. Adie, you are a trooper for allowing so many of us to share these moments with you! If you’re in the Austin area and interested in having your birth photographed, please contact us for more information.

The Junior League of Austin presents Enchanted

If you’re in the Austin-area, and you have not yet experienced The Junior League of Austin’s A Christmas Affair, you are truly missing out! The event has been bringing and amazing variety of unique merchants from across the country for 30-something years to Austin for some of THE BEST holiday shopping around. What a lot of people don’t realize is that beyond the fabulous shopping and fun parties, A Christmas Affair is a HUGE fundraiser that allows the League to invest in community projects throughout the year.

The theme of this year’s event was “Enchanted” – a magical, mystical, winter forest scene filled with woodland creatures and winter fairies. The attention to detail that goes into each A Christmas Affair is incredible. The whole thing is a photographer’s dream, so I was thrilled to be able to capture it again this year! BTW – if you’re interested in purchasing any of the decorations seen here, they’re all available for purchase at The Junior of Austin’s A Christmas Affair Decorations Resale: Thursday, December 2, 6pm – 9pm; Friday, December 3, 9am – 1pm; Saturday, December 4, 10am – 2pm | The Junior League of Austin Headquarters, 5416 Parkcrest, Suite 100.

The Budweiser Clydesdales at were on hand at Wednesday night’s gala and preview party. They were quite a sight to see for everyone driving up from Barton Springs Road.

Girl’s Night Out is always a fun event, especially when Radiostar is the headliner.

And I mentioned the fabulous decorations, right? The Decorations Committee is UNBELIEVABLY talented.
